The distro's been updated with two new zines:

small tasks of labour suit her slender bones (Sinoun - GA, USA)

distro review: this is a tiny, tiny zine (2"x2.75") in full colour collage, filled with short stories about people disappearing. 'stolshb' is the second zine by sinoun i've had the pleasure of distributing (the first being smelling trees), and she really puts all her heart and soul into creating her zines. beautiful work.

Well! Now that the Xmas rush is over, I've updated the distro, cleaned out the sold out stock (stuff you, wire sparrow #1 and form*letters 01, if you were interested) and added some new stuff (broken logic #1, crippled by depression #2, entangled, little venus).
I just want to take the time to say thank you to all the loyal customers this year, and to all those who have submitted zines and have supported the distro over the years. As a special treat, I'm offering free postage to readers of this livejournal until the 5th of January - yep, that includes international orders too.
Have a happy New Year, folks, and I hope to receive a ton of orders and submissions in 2006!

Apologies, folks, for the lack of updates - I don't usually take this long to add new zines to the stock when they arrive, but life has been BUSY (understatement). But, let me make it up to you with eight new zines!

Please bear with me for the next week or so - I have quite a few new zines to add to the distro, but things are really full on with uni at the moment. I promise to add all the new zines to the stock next week.
Sorry for the troubles, all!
I get quite a lot of zine submissions, and unfortunately I can't accept them all. It's written on the site that if you want your zine sent back to you if we don't accept it, that you can let us know (whether if you include it on a note when you send your zine, or in an email) and we'll send it back. It'd be a great help if you could include a buck to pay for stamps, but you know, it's not really that big a deal if you don't.
Don't forget if you have any queries at all, you can always email me at distro[at]glokenpop.com. :)
Thanks to everyone who's sent their zine into the distro over the past couple of years - just remember, don't feel discouraged if we don't accept your zine. Maybe it's just not something I click with; it doesn't mean that no one will! And if you don't get in with one issue, you can always try again with a later one.

Welcome, Westside Angst #9 (Ianto - SA, Australia)! Westside Angst #10 coming soon...
From the author: "It's a zine. It's not about music, and there's no poetry. It's about how I went to Melbourne, played a couple of rock and roll shows, saw some giraffes fighting, visited some fortifications and did a bunch of other stuff. Then I went back to work and celebrated because the crabby monster I used to work with had quit. Hooray!"
Distro review: I love to support Aussie zinesters, and Westside Angst is evidence of some of the great stuff we downunder can churn out. Every issue of Ianto's zines are unique, and filled with great stories about anything and everything. You're getting value for money with Westside Angst!
Price: $2.00 AU/CA - $1.50 US
Size: 25pp (not including covers), half-sized, 40g
|Date:||October 2nd, 2005 @ 12:43|
A couple more coming soon:
Driving Blind #3 (Erin, NJ, USA)
four star daydream #6-8 (Fawne, GA, USA)
The Happy Loner #1 (Iza, QC, Canada)
|Date:||September 20th, 2005 @ 22:46|
We're expecting some new zines over the next couple of weeks, providing people get back to me... ;)
Keep the submissions coming! We're always looking for more stuff. Email distro[at]glokenpop.com for a current address.

scatterheart (Rae, NE, USA) has just arrived and will be added to the stock shortly. :)
From the author: "spring makes me all swoony-eyed and stupid," i write in this zine, and it's true - there's something about springtime that makes me think too much, especially about matters of the heart. so this zine is kinda like spring cleaning for my head and my heart, with ramblings and journal entries revisiting the past so i can move forward into the future. the zine's kinda text-heavy, but i tried to get back into a more artsy cut&paste look, so the text is laid over maps of various places. with white vellum covers and red ribbon binding.
Distro review: Yet another beauty from Rae, but scatterheart has somewhat of a different feel to her suburban gothic zines. I was lost in her words, but I'm a sucker for murmurings of the heart.
Price: $1.50 AU/CA - $1 US
Size: 28pp, 1/8th legal, 12g
